The Woman Behind the Sun

Book Synopsis:

Recent college graduate Dr. Hector Objark got his first job at the New Portland Zoo. He is tasked to use his degree in ancient zoology to find out why some reversed engineered mammals are developing strangely. Mammoths’ fur is growing in patches, the sloths aren’t eating, and the glyptodons are acting like felines. Once he gets to New Portland, however, he discovers that the city and work that he is getting into is not as it seems. Slowly he undercovers what reverse engineering and genetic coding have done to nature and society as a whole as he works towards his mission at the zoo.

On the grander scale, there is a three-way race for the presidency of the United States, with the outcome poised to significantly affect reversed engineering, genetic coding, and the recent mining operations on Europa.
